Dental Fillings
What to expect?
A dental filling is an easy way to restore a tooth damaged by decay, back to its normal function, integrity and shape. The process of dental filling involves removing of the decayed tooth material, cleaning the affected area, and finally filling the cleaned out cavity with a filling material.
Materials used for fillings include gold, porcelain, a composite resin (tooth-colored fillings), or an amalgam (silver). No one type of filling is best for everyone. What’s right for you will be determined by the extent of the repair, whether you have allergies to certain materials, where in your mouth the filling is needed, and the cost. Generally Composite resins are the most popular.
How much does it cost ?
In order to provide an opinion or price related to your dental care, a dentist must understand all the factors that are influencing a patient’s health. A diagnosis of therapy can only be arrived at by performing a thorough examination of the mouth to identify and diagnose any dental issues or disease.
Can I get an estimate for treatment before going to the dentist ?
Oral health needs vary greatly between individuals and therefore, there is no average treatment. We encourage you to ask questions and by calling to do so, you will most likely prepare yourself before your dental health is severely compromised.
