What to expect?
Wisdom teeth also known as molar teeth appear in your mouth between the age of 16 and 25. Despite the name of the tooth, wisdom tooth brings along several complications and difficulties in the mouth. Most people feel pain when a wisdom tooth is trying to erupt and fit in the jawline, while many don’t even feel the pain and any change invisibility.
Wisdom teeth usually have uncomfortable positions which are also very unhealthy for the mouth. Damages caused by wisdom teeth can occur without you being aware of it at all. It causes infection to its surrounding area which may lead to more serious gum issues and diseases. They also cause crowding which damages the outlook and position of your all other teeth.
It is wise to get your dentist to check the progress of eruption of your wisdom teeth and assess if they need to be removed. During that time the surrounding bone is softer and there is less chance of damaging nearby nerves or other structures. It is not advisable to wait until your wisdom tooth causes the problem to decide on removing it.
